Endoscopic Hemorrhoid Band Legation
Endoscopic Hemorrhoid Band Legation is a highly effective nonsurgical procedure for treatment of symptomatic hemorrhoids.
EBL is performed at HSMC and is done as an outpatient procedure under minimal sedation. Usually patients do not experience any pain during or after the procedure.
Endoscopic hemorrhoid banding is an important progress in the treatment of symptomatic internal hemorrhoids and is simple, safe, and effective.
The treatment success rate is high. The long-term recurrence rate and complications are extremely low.
The following video is showing this procedure (full length) performed by Dr. Ahmed Abdel Samie-Huber on one of our patients at HSMC. The hemorrhoidal tissue is suctioned into the cap with the retroflexed flexible scope and a rubber band is released.
Dr. Abdel Samie is an internationally recognized German board certified Gastroenterologist with extensive experience in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy
